We do not allow just anyone into the department. If you make it through the recruitment process, you will be hired as a trainee.
This is when you will be tested and MUST follow all the rules revelant to trainees at all times. One slip up here, and it could
be the end of your career. The rules are as follows:
• Respect and honour everyone in the department. (This is the main rule, it must be followed at all times.)
• Keep a positive attitude during duty. (We don't care what your personality is, during duty, you MUST have a good attitude.)
• Pass on knowledge. (We expect you to interact with Trainees, teach them what you have been taught.)
• Listen to and Obey those with more experience. (We are always friendly and usually everything we tell you to do will benefit you in the long run.)
• Do not ASK for a promotion. (This is really very obvious, you will be promoted on your own merits.)
• Do not abuse your power. (You will be in possession of tools that could cause harm if used wrongly. If you abuse any of these tools, you will be let go.)
• Do not use equipment for personal reasons. (When off duty, return all the equipment you have borrowed back to the staff room.)
• Do not overuse the radio or the inter-departmental radio.
